METRO's Programming Advisory Committee

We're putting together an advisory committee of METRO members to help us explore ideas that our community should be digging into in our professional development events. This committee will:

• Meet for four (4) one-hour, virtual meetings in August 2023, November 2023, February 2024, and May 2024 
• Identify current issues facing libraries and archives and share them with METRO staff
• Identify speakers for events and share them with METRO staff
• Provide input and feedback on the events in our calendar

Committee members will be expected to engage in conversation and to provide feedback and ideas, and may be asked to provide introductions to contacts. They will serve only in an advisory capacity; program development will remain the responsibility of METRO staff.

Each committee member will receive a $200 stipend at the end of their year-long term, provided they attend the meetings.

Please apply here. The deadline to apply is Friday, June 2 at midnight. Applications will be reviewed and selected candidates will be contacted by Monday, June 12 to schedule a brief virtual meeting with METRO staff during that week. Final committee member selections will be determined by Wednesday, July 5.
