Continuing Education Grants
Lifelong learning and collaboration are central to METRO’s mission. We know that not all of our members have funds available to attend professional conferences, learning programs, and networking opportunities.
Financial assistance in any amount up to $500.00 is available to help defray the costs of registration, housing, and travel. In-person and remote events that are related to the library services profession are eligible.

Apply For A Continuing Education Grant
METRO is pleased to provide support for employees of our member institutions to attend conferences, classes, or courses of their choosing. Our aim with this grant is to provide assistance for individuals who are seeking to learn new skills but who do not presently have the financial support necessary for doing so from their institution.
Financial assistance in any amount up to $500.00 is available to help defray the costs of registration, housing, and travel. In-person and remote events that are related to the library services profession are eligible. Funding will be provided on a reimbursement basis.
Please check back in May for the next round of funding, which will cover the period from July 1st through December 31st, 2026.
