Tour & Social Hour: Sotheby’s Institute Of Art

In-Person

Join us for a behind-the-scenes tour of The Sotheby’s Institute of Art Library. The library team will give a tour of the space and showcase artists books and ephemera related to the history of the institute.

Sotheby’s Institute of Art “explores the relationship between cultural and commercial value in art and luxury, fosters business acumen and industry expertise, and drives innovation built on these core principles.” The library at SIA-New York currently holds more than 11,000 volumes and subscribes to over 70 current periodicals. The collection includes monographs and exhibition catalogues covering subjects such as art history, museum studies, patronage and collecting, contemporary art, luxury and in particular art business.

Following the tour, join us for a social hour at a nearby location to connect with fellow local library and archives workers.

Please note: Space is limited, so if you’ve secured a spot but then find you’re unable to join, please let us know so we can open your spot to someone on the waitlist.
