Starting in September 2025, small groups of library workers (and people from a wider variety of backgrounds) joined METRO staff for guided hikes at the new Library Field site in Westchester. These hike-and-talks are part of our participatory design process, meant to draw out input, guidance, and inspiration from our members. Participants were able to record their thoughts and ideas in a Field Guide, and we requested that they share those with us after the hikes. Thanks, everyone, for your ideas!
During this webinar, METRO Executive Director Nate Hill will share some of the ideas that we received about how various communities might work together in the unique Library Field environment. How have visitors envisioned how we can all use the Library Field in the future? What are some immediate possibilities, and what are some long-term visions? Join this event to learn more, and to help us continue this work!
