Intro to iNaturalist — Part I

Online

Learn how to create and contribute research-grade observations for the global scientific community by using iNaturalist. In this session, whether learning for yourself or for use in library programming, you’ll explore the breadth and depth of iNaturalist—a community-based education and science organization app and website for those curious about nature, interested in improving their familiarity of nature, and sharpening their identification skills.

By the end of this session, attendees will:

  • Understand what iNaturalist and Seek are, and how you can get involved
  • Know the many functions of iNaturalist.org. It’s not just an app!

Location: Virtual (Zoom)

Interested in some hands-on practice? Join us out at the Library Field on Tuesday, September 9 for Part II
