Apply For A Continuing Education Grant

METRO is pleased to provide support for employees of our member institutions to attend conferences, classes, or courses of their choosing. Our aim with this grant is to provide assistance for individuals who are seeking to learn new skills but who do not presently have the financial support necessary for doing so from their institution.

Financial assistance in any amount up to $500.00 is available to help defray the costs of registration, housing, and travel. In-person and remote events that are related to the library services profession are eligible. Funding will be provided on a reimbursement basis.

The grant application cycle has closed. Grants allocated in the current round of funding covered events taking place between July 1, 2025 and December 31, 2025. Please check back later for information about the next round of funding, which will cover events taking place during the period of January 1, 2026 to June 30, 2026.
