Digitization Resources

Digitization continues to represent a major focus of our work at METRO, in large part through the METRO Collaborative Digitization Project. This initiative supports digitization efforts in project planning and management, copyright, metadata, collection preservation and other areas. Through the Digitization Project, METRO encourages and guides digitization projects among member libraries.  You can read about the latest digitization grants awarded by METRO.

METRO's Collaborative Digitization Advisory Council , an expert team comprised of METRO members, digitization consultants, and METRO staff, provides direction for many digitization efforts. Council members continually help METRO to evaluate and assess emerging and longstanding needs related to digitization. The Council also works with METRO on grant distribution and efforts to develop industry standards and best practice recommendations.
