The Ursula C. Schwerin Library at New York City College of Technology, CUNY (City Tech) seeks to hire a Reference and Instruction Librarian for part-time work during the Spring 2019 semester. Possible shifts include Monday-Thursday 5:00-10:30pm, and Saturday 9:00am-5:00pm.

Responsibilities

The Reference and Instruction Librarian will perform general reference duties related to the use of library and research resources, including chat reference using OCLC’s QuestionPoint platform, and offer information literacy instruction. Successful candidates will have experience with reference or information literacy instruction and will have worked in diverse settings.

Qualifications

Applicants must have an ALA-accredited MLIS; an additional graduate degree is required for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor.

Compensation

Dependent on qualifications, the Instructor payscale begins at $42.95/hr (https://psc-cuny.org/contract/teaching-and-non-teaching-adjunct-rate-schedule))
