The Ursula C. Schwerin Library at New York City College of Technology, CUNY (City Tech) seeks to hire one or more adjunct Instruction and Reference Librarians for part-time work during the Fall 2017 semester.

Instruction and Reference Librarians will perform general reference duties related to the use of library and research resources in all formats, including chat reference using OCLC’s QuestionPoint platform, and offer information literacy instruction. Successful candidates will have experience with information literacy instruction and/or reference, and will have worked in diverse settings.

Possible shifts during the Fall 2017 semester include Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday, mostly 9:00am-5:00pm (though some flexibility is desired). Applicants must have an ALA-accredited MLS; an additional graduate degree is required for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor.
