METRO's new website and registration system make it easier than ever to register for webinars, workshops, special events, and Special Interest Group meetings. Simply find the event you're interested in attending on the METRO calendar and click the registration tab. If you're logged-in as a registered METRO site user, you can view all your registration activity with the My Events feature.
Please read on for additional answers to any questions you might have.
I want to sign up for a workshop. Where is the registration form?
METRO now accepts all registrations through our redesigned website at www.metro.org. To view our calendar of events and to sign up for upcoming workshops, please visit www.metro.org/en/cev/mon/.
Do I need to login or create a profile to register?
Employees of METRO member institutions and myMETRO individual members should login before registering for a given workshop or event. This will help ensure that you receive member discounts when applicable, make it easier to manage your event invoices, and streamline any future registrations.
Once you have registered for a workshop, you will receive an automated email. As long as this email states that “your registration information has been received”, your registration was successful and you are eligible to attend the class. A second confirmation email will be sent once your payment has been processed.
How can I pay my registration fee?
During the registration process, you will have the option to pay either Online by credit card (Visa, MC, AmEx, etc.) or by Invoice/Check. If your employer will be submitting payment on your behalf, please have them include a copy of your invoice with the check. Please make all checks payable to Metropolitan New York Library Council.
What if I need to cancel my registration?
You may cancel your registration at any time by logging into your account at www.metro.org. However, in order to receive a refund of your registration fee, you must also notify METRO in writing (including via email to training@metro.org) at least two (2) full business days prior to the scheduled workshop. Refunds are provided by credit card or check and will be processed within about four weeks. A handling charge of 10% of the registration fee will be charged for all refunds.
If you are unable to attend a workshop, you may choose to send another person in your place without penalty. If possible, METRO requests that you notify us in advance.
Is there a deadline for class registration?
Yes, registration closes 24 hours prior to the start time of any given workshop.
What if METRO cancels my workshop?
METRO reserves the right to cancel any workshop or to substitute instructors. In the event of a cancellation or substitution, registrants may receive a full refund of the registration fee.
