Mission Statement
METRO is committed to helping its member libraries form a more effective regional service network through high-quality support services and opportunities in resource sharing, professional development and advocacy. METRO programs and services are designed to help our members meet the information needs of the eight million residents of New York City and Westchester County, representing one of the most ethnically and culturally diverse regions in the world. METRO further works to support the primary mission of each of our library members in their individual efforts to meet the needs of their user communities.
