Library Information Assistant
Successfully demonstrated public service experience with the ability to work well with a diverse patronage.
Successfully demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
Knowledge of standard library content, function and operation.
Knowledge of policies and procedures of library.
Standard technical services practices and methods.
Customer/public service skills.
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, even under pressure.
Must be available a minimum of three (3) days during the week and Saturday and Sunday availability; able to work a flexible schedule that meets the needs of the library, including evenings, weekends, and call-in shifts.
Weekly commitment may range from a minimum of 15 hours up to 29 hours, depending on availability.
Strong computer and technology skills, including Microsoft Office, online searching, and library resources
Bachelor's degree, or any combination of education and experience equivalent to an Associate's degree in liberal arts; preferably a performing arts background
