The New York City College of Technology (CUNY) Library seeks a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) instructional design intern for the Fall 2017 semester to create web-based tutorials and research guides that are interactive and can accommodate different learning styles. This is a 7hr per week, semester long practicum with possibility of renewal. Flexible schedule during business hours. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until position is filled.
In consultation with the library’s instruction and web team, this candidate will create digital tutorials and research guides to support students working in traditional, hybrid, and online course contexts. The intern will gain experience with instructional technology, user experience, and information literacy competency assessment. This practicum will provide a library science student the opportunity to gain experience in a busy academic library setting and design resources for a diverse, multilingual student population.
The ideal candidate will have instructional design experience and proficiency with instructional technology platforms. Additional preferred technical skills: HTML editing, video editing, proficiency with LibGuides and YouTube.
$15.00 per hr, 7 hrs per week
