By experimenting with different technologies, tools, and social media, librarians, archivists, and other information professionals are honing their writing skills, becoming savvy marketers, and taking control of their own publishing careers.

The panelists on this timely Issues Forum will discuss their experiences with writing for nontraditional media, share self-publishing opportunities, and reflect on what the changing face of publishing means for libraries, librarians, and professional advancement.

Panelists: Susanne Markgren (Digital Services Librarian at Purchase College, SUNY); Emily Drabinski (Electronic Resources and Instruction Librarian at Long Island University, Brooklyn); and Alycia Sellie (Information Services Librarian and Weekend Supervisor at Brooklyn College Library).
