Before earning her PhD in Information Policy at Rutgers University,  Roberta Brody worked as business librarian and as a business and competitive information consultant.  Now  a  Professor  at the Graduate School of Library and Information Studies at Queens College, City University of New York where  she teaches  courses such as business reference and competitive intelligence and  also acts as Graduate Advisor of Admissions, Bobby educates the next generation of business researchers and information professionals.

Full Description
For many of us, the desires and intentions that originally directed our professional choices have not changed but how we accomplish them has changed quite dramatically. The activities in this workshop encourage us to explore what we do that is special and unique to our profession, what we bring to the table in our organization and in our communities, and how we can transfer and reinterpret our strengths, skills, understandings and abilities in the current climate. We will also  consider elements of our individual professional lives and strategize about our professional futures.
 
Who should attend:
Librarians and Information Professionals wishing to clarify and or reinterpret their professional goals and skills for the current market
 
By the end of this program, participants will:
- be able to identify and articulate their core capabilities
- be able to identify and express their value  and utility relative to their their current or target place of employment
