She has spent much of her career working with archival systems for arrangement, description, and preservation. She has been recognized as an Emerging Leader by the American Library Association and an Archival Leadership Institute participant.

This full-day, interactive workshop will take you through the main features and functionality of ArchivesSpace, the newest open source tool available for archival description. We’ll cover creating and editing resources, accessions, agents, and subjects, with plenty of hands-on exercises designed to increase your familiarity with the program. Additional topics will be covered as time permits.

Who should attend: 
Those who wish to update their archival tool skills. Attendees should be comfortable working with computers and have had experience with archival description. Previous training or experience with the Archivists' Toolkit and/or Archon is recommended.

By the end of this program, participants will:

  • Be familiar with the ArchivesSpace interface
  • Be able to create and edit each of the major record types within the system
  • Be able to locate additional help and resources when needed.
