Partnerships Between Academic and Public Libraries: An Outreach & Advocacy SIG Meeting

Join us on Monday November 30, 2015 from 3:00pm-5:00pm for a lively discussion on Partnerships between Academic and Public Libraries. METRO’s Outreach & Advocacy SIG meeting will take place at METRO (57 East 11th Street, 4th floor, New York, NY 10003).

How do we connect the resources of academic libraries with the life-long learning possibilities of public branch libraries? We will discuss various outreach strategies used to partner with public libraries. We want to hear from those libraries who partner with public libraries. If so, how?  If not, are you planning on developing a partnership?

We will discuss how we can successfully create partnerships with our public branch libraries so our users know they have access to resources in their community and even after they graduate.

Organized by Mark Aaron Polger and Carl Andrews, co-conveners of METRO's Outreach and Advocacy Special Interest Group. Check our our LibGuide at http://libguides.metro.org/oasig.

All METRO's special interest group meetings are free of charge for METRO members and non-members alike. Refreshments will be served.
