Full Description

This workshop has been postponed. Thank you for your patience as we schedule a new date for this program.

Applying the Standard provides an introductory overview of the Audit and Certification of Trustworthy Digital Repositories (ISO 16363) standard, focusing on it's application in practice as an assessment and planning tool. Instructors will discuss the underlying concepts of the standard, assessment processes, methodologies for analysis, and how these inform preservation policy and practice.

To further elucidate the contents of the standard, attendees will participate in activities simulating the assessment and planning experience. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss how ISO 16363 may apply to their own organizations and examine the implications of the standard on digital preservation moving forward.
