Full Description

LinkedIn has more than 364 million members in over 200 countries and territories. Recruiters and HR departments are increasingly using LinkedIn to connect with employees directly – bypassing traditional job boards and listservs. Library students and librarians who have strong LinkedIn profiles have found job leads via LinkedIn.

Whether you're just starting with LinkedIn or want to make your profile stand out more, this webinar will elaborate and build on the concept of personal brand specific to LinkedIn, and outline approaches for making yourself stand out. We'll cover basic and subscription features, and how to use your LinkedIn network to build your visibility. No matter what type of librarian you are, you will come away with tips for making LinkedIn profile improvements right now, and an approach for keeping your profile looking smart. You’ll get plenty of screen shots and bulleted lists to help you easily improve your profile.

This webinar can be attended as a stand-alone offering, and it also builds on the previous webinar on personal brand. It assumes participants are familiar with the basics of LinkedIn: profile, connections, and groups.

This webinar is available to METRO and other NY3Rs members at a discounted fee of $10. Register here.
