The next meeting of the Economic & Business Special Interest Group will take place on October 22, from 10 A.M. to 12 noon at St. John’s University's Kathryn and Shelby Cullom Davis Library, in its new location at 101 Astor Place. Established in 1901 by the Insurance Society of New York, the Davis Library comprise an extraordinary collection of American and international insurance, risk management, and actuarial materials. The library has historical as well as contemporary collections, with the oldest volume dating back to 1569, and an extensive collection of insurance policies and documents tracing the development of insurance terminology and contracts since 1665.
Ismael Rivera-Sierra will give us a tour of the Davis Library and a demonstration of databases including ISIS, Axco, and A.M. Best. Don't miss this opportunity to learn about the Davis Library and its research resources and services.
