Economics & Business Librarians SIG Meeting

This meeting of the Economics and Business SIG will feature lightning talks where those in attendance can discuss a specific resource they have used to answer a specific business question. Recommended topics for future sessions could be discussed as well.

Presentations include:

Shulamis Hes, Electronic Collections Librarian at Yeshiva University,
will present "A Business Proposal Research Guide." This Libguide details the questions investors ask when considering capitalizing a business venture as well as the research tools and techniques to find the answers which can then be incorporated into a business plan.

Ryan Phillips, Business Librarian, Baruch College, CUNY
will give a presentation about Bloomberg database and workshops presented to Baruch faculty.

Yonathan Dessalegn, St. John's University Library, Davis Library, Library Assistant
will give a presentation on how the SCORE resource at New York Public Library, SIBL could be leveraged towards the end of creating effective business plans

John Balow, New York Public Library
will give a presentation on outreach efforts of the New York Public Library, SBL branch

Peng Xu, Electronic Services and Research Librarian, Watson Library of Business and Economics
will give a presentation about the database Thomson One
