The Reference Special Interest Group connects librarians interested in the issues related to the provision of reference services, including the similarities and differences between "reference" and "virtual reference."
Because we had so much great discussion about reference assessment at our last meeting, we decided to continue on that topic, in the form of lightning talks. Each talk will be only 5-10 minutes long (no PowerPoint necessary), and it will present "something interesting" that you or your library learned through assessing an aspect of your reference services. This "something interesting" could be surprising or confusing or good or bad, it's totally up to you, just tell us:
1) what particular aspect of your reference services you were trying to assess,
2) how you did it, and
3) what you learned.
Sound like fun? If so, please contact me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org, and I'll add you to the list of presenters!
