Open Forum on Best Practices for Government Information


1. An open discussion led by a panel of librarians to discuss best practices for working with government information.

We encourage participants to raise issues they encounter in their work with documents, and learn how others have approached these issues. Sample topics include: weeding process, cataloging questions, call-in inspections and item selections when they relate to online only.

2. Following the open forum, we will have a behind-the-scenes tour of the NYC visitors center, including City Hall Library, Municipal Archives Reference Room and the Conservation and Microfilm Labs.
