Prior to joining the Library, Johannes worked for regional and national non-profits, as well as SMEs and global players in the electronics, media, and software sectors. Awards include Craig Newmark's 2011 Who Rules Social media, MarketingSherpa's 2010 Viral and Social Marketing Hall of Fame, and PR News' 2010 Nonprofit Award for Use of Twitter. In an open discussion with marketing veteran Johannes Neuer, participants will learn from real-world case studies how to effectively integrate social media initiatives into library operations, showcasing their collections, programs and services. Major social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Tumblr, Pinterest, Instagram, and Foursquare will be covered in this course, and no previous social media experience is necessary.

Library directors, librarians, website managers, marketing and communications staff, and LIS students

By the end of this program, participants will:
- Be able to manage their social media activities with limited resources using smart tools and collaborative workflows
