Outreach and Advocacy: Getting the Word Out in Your Community

Not everyone really understands what a library can provide to the community.  In this class students will learn how to connect with community members and organizations to let them know what the library makes available, how they can take advantage of library services, and to inform community members why the library remains a key asset to all who live and work in the area in the 21st century.  At the end of the sessions participants will understand how to quickly articulate the value of the library to their specific community and have a set of talking points for getting the word out on the value of NYPL library services.

This is a private workshop for NYPL IA staff only.
