Utilizing social networks to create a library presence can help bring your library services to the public.  This two-hour online class teaches you how utilizing social software can help you promote your library's activities and services to connect with your users.  The workshop will highlight a variety of social software outlets, such as Flickr, Facebook, Twitter and the latest social networking site.  We will discuss the features of social software for library promotion.

Learning Outcomes:
- Describe how joining networks can help you market your library services
- List the pros and cons of various social networking tools
- Compare and evaluate the different ways that social software is used in a number of libraries
