Braun is an educational technology consultant with LEO: Librarian and Educators Online.  She also is a Professor of Practice for Simmons College Graduate School of Library and Information Science, where she teaches courses on technology, young adult services, and school libraries.  Linda is a past president of YALSA, has written several books on technology and libraries, and is the Unbound Word columnist for VOYA.

This workshop helps you learn the why, how, and what of supporting teachers with developing and implementing lessons that support the Common Core standards.  You'll learn why it's important to play a big role helping teachers to connect lessons with the Common Core.  You'll discover techniques for making the teacher, library, Common Core connection.  And, you'll find out what resources are available for learning more about the Common Core standards and school libraries.  Attendees will leave with a toolkit for starting the next school year ready to support the Common Core in the library and classroom.

Due to space limitations, this workshop is open only to school librarians in New York City and Westchester county.  Please include your Oganization/School Name when you register.
