Brenda Hough is the Continuing Education consultant for the Northeast Kansas Library System. She is also a facilitator for the Public Library Association's online advocacy course, "Turning the Page 2.0." She is an adjunct instructor for the School of Library and Information Management at Emporia State University (KS). She teaches a Certified Public Library Administrator course on technology management for the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Her past work experiences include work with TechSoup for Libraries, WebJunction, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the Lake Agassiz Regional Library System (MN). She and her husband and their 2 year old son live in Lawrence, Kansas.

Want to run better meetings or lead better planning discussions?  You can be a more effective facilitator.  Learn how to improve group participation and productivity.  Focus groups, staff meetings, brainstorming sessions, learning sessions - all of these activities require an effective facilitator.  With some knowledge about group dynamics, learning styles, and models for running meetings and group sessions, that can be you!  Discover ways to improve participation and productivity, both face-to-face and online.
