Jane Gottlieb is Vice President for Library and Information Resources at The Juilliard School.  Prior to coming to Juilliard in 1986, she worked at Mannes College of Music, the New York Public Library, and the American Music Center.  At Juilliard she also teaches the Doctoral-level “Music Reference and Research” class, and serves as Chair of the Doctoral Governance Committee.  A past-president of the Music Library Association, Ms. Gottlieb has published widely on various aspects of music librarianship.  Her book Music Library and Research Skills was published by Prentice-Hall in 2008.  She holds a M.S.L.S. from Columbia University and B.A. in Music from Binghamton University.
