Write, Edit, and Share Articles on Queens History at our next Wikipedia Edit-a-thon

20131105_Editathon.jpgJoin the Queens Library, Wikimedia NYC, and the Metropolitan New York Library Council for an all-day Wikipedia Edit-a-thon and public training event on Friday, December 6th at the Queens Library Central Branch.

Wikipedia content produced at this event will focus on Queens history, historical figures from the borough, the Queens Library System, and special topics covered in the Queens Archives and the Queens Memory Project.

To make it easy to get started, folders from Queens Library Archives will be provided. Wikipedians will be on site to provide beginning and advanced training on editing articles and working with images in Wikipedia.

This event is the third Wikipedia Edit-a-thon presented by METRO and Wikimedia NYC this fall.
