On Wednesday November 14, METRO will be hosting its first Directors Round Table at the American Museum of Natural History. Stephen Abram, past President of SLA and Vice President for Strategic Partnerships and Markets for Cengage Learning will be presenting his talk “The Future: Digital/Print Library Hybrids.” A cocktail reception will follow the event. Library Directors (or delegates) that have not yet registered can visit this page to sign up to attend. Directors that cannot attend may nominate someone to attend in their place.
Also, given the postponement of METRO’s Annual Meeting due to Superstorm Sandy (we’re currently working on re-scheduling), the Directors Round Table event will begin with METRO’s Annual Business Meeting agenda that was originally scheduled to take place during the Annual Meeting.
The Business Meeting will feature a report from METRO Executive Director Jason Kucsma, updates from the Board President and Treasurer, an introduction of Richard Hasenyager, the new Director of Library Services at NYC Department of Education, and voting for Board of Trustees officers and new members.
We look forward to seeing everyone next week and thank our hosts at the American Museum of Natural History Library.
