Three METRO Members Selected for ARL's Leadership Fellows Program

The Association of Research Libraries, a non-profit organization uniting 125 research libraries in the United States and Canada, has announced its 2013 - 2015 class of Leadership Fellows.

METRO is pleased to note that three of its member institutions are represented in this group: Evelyn Frangakis, Aaron and Clara Greenhut Rabinowitz Assistant Director for Preservation at New York Public Library; Barbara Rockenbach, Director, Humanities and History Libraries, Columbia University Libraries; and Neil Romanosky, Assistant Director for Administration, Health Science Libraries, New York University.

The Leadership Fellows program had its inaugural year in 2004 and endeavors to provide training to librarians who are poised to move into leadership roles in major research libraries. The eighteen-month schedule features strategy meetings, one-on-one coaching, and opportunities for self-assessment. Fellows were selected through a nomination process earlier this Summer.

Congratulations are in order for each of the three METRO members who are about to embark on this fantastic program.
