The second WikiConference USA is coming up this fall. This national gathering of friends and editors of Wikipedia will be held at the U.S. National Archives on Friday 10/9 through Sunday 10/11.
From the conference website:
The weekend features presentations on Wikimedia-related outreach activities workshops to improve the skills of grassroots organizers; and discussions on the past, present, and future of the Wikimedia projects. The conference features tracks on community outreach, online activity, partnerships with institutions of knowledge, and technology.
WikiConference USA has a limited number of scholarships available; these awards with cover round-trip travel, accomodations, and a portion of your daily living expenses. Active contributors to and volunteers for Wikipedia are welcome to apply.
