Prison Librarians SIG Forms at METRO

A new METRO Special Interest Group (SIG) will launch in December. The Prison Librarian SIG is for librarians who work with incarcerated adults and youth, as well as those interested in the library-related work being done in prisons and detention centers.

The SIG’s co-conveners are Jim Huffman (New York Public Library) and Vikki Terrile (Queens Library). The first meeting is set for Monday, December 8, from 10 a.m. to noon at METRO (57 East 11th Street, 4th Floor).

At the inaugural meeting, participants will have an opportunity to learn about plans for the SIG and share their ideas for future speakers and topics. Contact Jim Huffman at jhuffman@nypl.org or Vikki Terrile at Vikki.C.Terrile@queenslibrary.org to learn more.
