New York State Regents Advisory Council Seeks Your Input on E-Resources

In the 2012 report Creating the Future: A 2020 Vision Plan for Library Service in New York State, the New York State Regents Advisory Council on Libraries (RAC) provided a strategy by which the state's libraries can continue to support research and learning in an increasingly digital environment.

Acknowledging that online resources fall into new territories of ownership, the report recommends "identify[ing] the current costs of e-resources from all public funds to best determine economies of shared acquisition and use across all schools, libraries, public universities, and state government agencies."

The RAC has created a working group to address this particular recommendation. Please consider supporting their research by completing an e-resources survey (one response per institution, please). Responses will be collected through Wednesday, December 4, 2013.
