New York State Assembly Supports METRO Delivery Service

Our thanks to the New York State Assembly for providing discretionary grants totaling $3,500 for METRO's Delivery Service, which allows our member libraries to deliver interlibrary loan and other materials quickly, efficiently, and at no cost to them. Senator Tom Duane's office provided a grant of $1,000 and the remaining funding was a special legislative grant from the New York State Legislature.

The METRO Delivery Service moves more than 100,000 packages a year, serving more than 230 METRO members through regularly scheduled and on-demand delivery in New York City and Westchester County.

By supporting the METRO Delivery Service, these grants translate into greater access to libraries' collections and services among the residents of New York City and Westchester County.
