We’re excited to team up with a stellar group of organizers as a co-convener for the Openlab Workshop. Funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Council on Libraries and Information Resources (CLIR), this in-person event will take place on Tuesday, December 1st and Wednesday December 2nd in the Washington D.C area.
Openlab is “envisioned as a solutions lab, convener, and consultancy designed to accelerate the speed and impact of transformational change in the GLAM (gallery, library, archive, and museum) sector.” To meet this mission, the workshop will be presented in two parts: the first day will be comprised of open-to-the-public ignite talks and an unconference while the second day will be a workshop open by invitation only.
METRO joins American Alliance of Museums, Center for the Future of Museums, The American Library Association, Center for the Future of Libraries, Digital Public Library of America, and Digital Library Federation as partners on this event.
