Next Tuesday, December 4th, METRO professional development returns to Westchester with instructor Joshua Ranger for "Processing Audio and Video Collections." Join us for this full-day workshop at White Plains Public Library and build on your processing skills for A/V collections.
Many archival audiovisual collections remain inaccessible to researchers and institutions due to lack of intellectual control and lack of procedures for care and playback. These situations directly impact the ability of an archive to fulfill its mission and to obtain funding for preservation work. This workshop focuses on the core knowledge and skills you need to process audio and video materials for planning, budgeting, cataloging, access, grant applications, and long term storage.
