We're pleased to announce the appointment of Susan Klimley as Hospital Library Services Program (HLSP) Manager, beginning July 18, 2016.
As HLSP Manager, Klimley will work closely with the HLSP Advisory Committee to support METRO in developing, enhancing, and improving the delivery of health-care information between member libraries and healthcare professionals in the Metropolitan New York region. The METRO Hospital Library Services Program (HLSP) supports the work of more than 45 hospital and medical center libraries in New York City and Westchester County.
“We’re very excited to have Susan on our team,” said Kerri Willette, Deputy Director at METRO. “Her understanding of hospital libraries coupled with her skills in electronic resources management will be a huge asset to the HLSP program. We look forward to having Susan on board!”
Klimley has significant experience working in health sciences libraries. In past positions, she has served as Director of Health Science Library at Elmhurst Hospital in Queens, and more recently she has managed electronic resources at the Health Sciences Library of Columbia University. Klimley’s work in hospital and health sciences libraries informs her desire to support librarians that strive to meet the information demands of health professionals. Klimley holds an MLS from Simmons College.
