Next Thursday, May 3rd, METRO is excited to present a workshop that will offer librarians a new perspective on their interactions with vendors. During “Librarian/Vendor Relationships: What Every Librarian Needs to Know When Preparing for a Salesperson’s Visit,” sales executive Mike Gruenberg will give attendees a better understanding of each person’s role and preparations that will maximize your success with vendors in the future.
When a salesperson makes an appointment to see a librarian, the reality is that certain expectations by both parties need to be met. Time is valuable and the results of that appointment need to be apparent for both parties. Too often, the salesperson and/or the librarian fail to be fully prepared. In this workshop, Mike Gruenberg, a sales executive with 34 years of experience selling successfully to libraries throughout the world, will review the expectations of both the librarian and salesperson and by doing so will impart knowledge necessary for librarians to have a greater understanding of the sales process and how to be fully prepared for the sales call.
