Dear myMETRO Members,
Please join me on Wednesday, November 5 to hear presentations from two of the 2014 myMETRO Researchers-in-Residence. They will share the findings of their diligent research at the myMETRO SIG meeting at 5:30 pm at METRO. Register here.
Following the presentations, I’ll speak briefly about some changes we’ve made for the 2015 myMETRO Researchers Project, such as:
- myMETRO members will have the choice to propose a team-based project or a self-guided project
- members can choose from the following research topics: Privacy, Collections, Community, and Preservation
- project proposals that are selected for the project will be promoted to members. Research teams for those who'd like to find one will form at the Project Kick-Off Meeting in January.
We're thrilled at the prospect of launching the fourth cycle of myMETRO Researchers. We hope that by fostering a community of researchers, we can share insight into the profession with our colleagues everywhere. Previous projects have been seen at poster sessions at ALA Annual, presented at ARLIS/NA, and written up on the American Libraries blog.
Please stay tuned for an announcement early next week. We hope you'll consider joining the project.
With best regards,
Member Services Manager
