Last Chance to Register for Free Digital Literacy Curriculum Workshops

Please join us for Opening Doors to Digital Learning: Training Public Librarians on the NYS Digital Literacy Standards and Skill Sets, a free workshop taking place early next week.

Recommended for librarians who work with the public, this workshop will prepare library staff for successful interactions with patrons who wish to increase their technology skills. With focus on New York State Digital Literacy Standards, speaker Mary Anne Waltz will demonstrate curriculum geared toward the development of specific skill sets like using the Internet and creating documents in Microsoft Word. Participants in these workshops will gain knowledge of specific tools to use for instruction both in classroom settings and in one-on-one conversations with patrons.
