Joyce Rambo returns to METRO next week for "CONTENTdm Essentials"

Next Tuesday, May 1st, METRO is pleased to welcome the return of instructor Joyce Rambo for another session of the popular "CONTENTdm Essentials" workshop.  Anyone interested in learning more about this digital collection management software from OCLC will gain insight and first-hand experience working with CONTENTdm during this hands-on program.  Please visit http://metro.org/events/88/ for more information and registration.

Description:
CONTENTdm is used by thousands of libraries, archives, museums and other cultural heritage organizations to deliver their digitized treasures on to the Web.  Learn what you need to know to use this robust software suite to create searchable and engaging digital collections. After taking this full-day, hands-on workshop you will know how to use the latest version of CONTENTdm to:

- Apply metadata entered in tab-delimited spreadsheets to digital files
- Build compound objects
- Edit collection objects in the Project Client and on the Web server
- Automatically extract technical properties about a digital file and enter them into a metadata field
- Add collections objects via the Web
