Join NYLA's Youth Services Section for their 2015 Conference this March

Registration is currently open for the 2015 NYLA YSS Spring Conference. Join us on Friday, March 27, 2015 at the Islandia Marriott Long Island in Islandia, NY.

This year’s conference theme is Inform! – Inspire! – Ignite!

The keynote speaker is Director of Anythink Librarians, Pam Sandlian-Smith. The luncheon speaker is Author/Illustrator Matt Phelan. Fifteen program sessions throughout the day will focus on a variety of exciting and pertinent topics of interest to library professionals serving youth of all ages.

At the Long Island Author Illustrator Garden during the conference you will meet and greet local authors and illustrators, including Caroline Bock, Jen Calonita, Selene Castrovilla, Brian Heinz, Matt Phelan, Gae Polisner, Sean Qualls, Todd Strasser, Kara Taylor, Maryrose Wood and Jane Zalben. Their books will be available for purchase and signing.

A pair of scholarships are available for attendance at the conference. Each of the scholarships is designed to cover registration fees and up to $250 reimbursement for hotel charges, meals, and transportation costs for attending the conference. The deadline for applications is February 2, 2015.
