Fordham University Library Opens Museum

On December 6, 2007, the Fordham University Library will open a Museum of Greek, Etruscan, and Roman Art. Over 260 pieces will be on exhibit in what was once the Current Periodical Reading Room (the few printed issues of current periodicals the Library still receives are now housed in the Reserve Reading Room).

The museum's varied collection—one of the largest in New York State—is the gift of William D. Walsh, an alumnus who gave a large donation for the construction of the library building, which is named after him. The general public is welcome to visit the museum, and school teachers are encouraged to bring their students to see this exquisite collection. For more information, call 718-817-3570.
