Essential Webinars for Understanding, Implementing RDA in Libraries

By popular demand, METRO welcomes Chris Cronin, Director of Metadata and Cataloging Services at the University of Chicago to METRO's Online Training Center for two webinars on Resource Description and Access (RDA) implementation in libraries. RDA is "the new, unified cataloging standard—an evolution of the cataloging principles from AACR2, with rules carried over or adapted to the RDA model."
The first webinar "Introduction to Major Changes from AACR2 to RDA" (April 27 from 10-11:30) will provide an entry-level introduction to aspects of RDA records that differ from AACR2, and what catalogers should expect to see in RDA records generally. The second webinar "Managing the Implementation of RDA at Your Library - What Administrators Need to Know" (April 29 from 10-11:30) will inform library administrators and cataloging managers on how to begin thinking about preparing staff and systems for the transition from AACR2 to RDA.
