Want to learn how to create digital multimedia objects such as digital animation, dynamic web components, online learning packages, and streamlined video for web presentation? If so, this workshop is for you. Participants should be familiar with basic HTML, but no prior experience in using Flash is required. In this workshop, you’ll get hands-on experience in Flash and ActionScript 3.0 (which is used to program Flash). Day One covers essential animation techniques; Day Two focuses on interactivity and basic ActionScript techniques.

The presenter, Kwong Bor Ng, Ph.D., is an associate professor at the Graduate School of Library and Information Studies at Queens College (CUNY). Dr. Ng’s research areas include algorithms of information retrieval and data fusion. His most recent publication is Using Xml: A How-to-do-it Manual and CD-ROM for Librarians, published by Neal Schuman in 2007.
