The inaugural Conference on Intellectual Property will be held June 12–13, 2009 at Iona College in New Rochelle, New York. Offering a cross-disciplinary exploration of intellectual property issues, the conference will include keynote addresses by Laura M. Quilter, an attorney and researcher in technology and information law and policy, and Joy Garnett, an artist who appropriates documentary photographs from various media and re-invents them as paintings.
The conference organizers have issued a call for papers and panels dealing with any and all aspects of intellectual property, with an emphasis on multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches.
Papers and/or abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings. Selected essays may be published in a proposed collection for a peer-reviewed press.
February 5, 2009 is the deadline for submitting abstracts for papers and panels. For more information, visit the conference website.
