A New Survey on Web Archiving from the National Digital Stewardship Alliance

In a post on The Signal today, the National Digital Stewardship Alliance (NDSA) announced the release of a survey for U.S.-based organizations involved with web archiving.

A follow-up to the 2011 NDSA Web Archiving Survey, this updated questionnaire will collect data on the development of both new and established web archiving programs. The NDSA seeks to collate information on technology, content, and policy decisions pertaining to web archiving efforts.

Writes Abbie Grotke, Library of Congress Web Archiving Team Lead and NDSA Content Working Group Co-Chair, "as more institutions tackle web archiving, this type of information gathering and reporting not only raises awareness in the types of activities underway, but helps those preserving web content make the case for archiving back at their home institutions."
