More than 44,000 new records from New York State were added to Digital Public Library (DPLA) this week. This occasion marks the second ingest of records from Empire State Network (ESDN), the DPLA service hub that's stationed here at METRO.
Contributed records include over 17,000 from Digital Culture of Metropolitan New York (DCMNY), a METRO service that provides hosting for digital collections of METRO members and serves as an on-ramp to the DPLA. Contributions from DCMNY include:
- New-York Historical Society
- Wildlife Conservation Society
- Whitney Museum of American Art
- The New York Botanical Garden
We're excited to bring these collections to new audiences through DPLA, and we look forward to seeing additional DCMNY records in DPLA in the near future.
